Get back to the opening page.The top of the range in infotainment is the freestanding 10” Columbus system, which can be touch, gesture or voice controlled. The standard radio is accompanied by navigation, a connection to your phone via the SmartLink interface, online ŠKODA Connect services, and the possibility of playing online radio stations and streaming services. You can zoom in on a map or control the volume with the touch-slider.
The infotainment range has been complemented by three systems ranging in size from 8.25 to 10 inches. The Swing standard-fit infotainment system can easily interconnect with your phone via Bluetooth and SmartLink, featuring Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MirrorLink™. Its other features include 2 USB-C slots and music streaming. The Bolero system adds a bigger display, voice control, a touch-slider and internal memory. If you opt for the Amundsen infotainment system, you also get navigation for good measure.
The new-generation ŠKODA Connect online services deliver online navigation and information services, the option to control selected vehicle functions remotely with a smartphone, and remote interaction with the ŠKODA service centre of your choice. eCall, which automatically contacts emergency services in an accident, is integral to this feature.
The new OCTAVIA is the first ŠKODA allowing you to purchase features online that previously had to be ordered before the car was built. The infotainment system features the Shop, where you can easily enhance your car, for example, with additional ambient lighting functions and colours, new driver-assistance systems and infotainment features. In addition, you can top up your data packages, extend your ŠKODA Connect online services, and download apps.
With the Laura voice assistant, your car will be hanging on your every word to do your bidding. Curt orders are consigned to the past. Now you can control the car with Laura, an assistant who understands normal speech. Laura will help you to control the navigation, media, infotainment, air-conditiong and text messages, while letting you concentrate better on the driving.
The OCTAVIA COMBI is equipped as standard with two modern backlit front USB-C ports for data transmission and recharging. Three additional USB-C ports can optionally be added – one by the rear-view mirror to charge a camera and two for rear passengers to charge their devices.
