The OCTAVIA iV is fitted with an internal combustion engine, an electric motor and a powerful lithium-ion battery that can be charged from a socket, hence the name plug-in hybrid. When it’s not running on fully electric drive, the car uses a hybrid mode delivering a longrange of several hundred kilometres. Another upside is more economical driving with lower consumption and CO₂ emissions.
