Want to know exactly what’s happening around the car? The Area View system displays, on an onboard monitor, several different angles around the vehicle, captured with the wide-angle lenses of cameras mounted at the front and rear and on the wing-mirror covers.
Want to buy a new caravan, but reversing it is the stuff of nightmares? The Trailer Assist takes control when you reverse slowly with a caravan. All you have to do is decide where to reverse to, when to start and when to stop. A cinch.
To avoid those reverse parking situations where you don’t brake in time in response to the distance alerts, the KODIAQ incorporates Manoeuvre Assist, a feature that stops the car to avoid collision.
The surround parking sensors tell you exactly what is happening around the car. The parking sensors assist you with parking and work in conjunction with all of the infotainment systems available for the KODIAQ.
When reversing out of parking bays, Rear Traffic Alert recognises vehicles approaching from the sides. An acoustic signal warns of an impending collision. The “critical side” is shown first in yellow and then in red on the infotainment display. The brakes are applied automatically if necessary.
When reverse gear is engaged, the camera in the tailgate is activated and the image is shown on the infotainment system display. Dynamic guide lines laid over the image show the direction in which the vehicle would go with the position of the steering wheel or indicate when it should be turned.
